This sign was inspired by the last project my mom was working on before she passed away.
She was going to make it much larger, on old fence boards with red, white and blue stars. She got the stars in the mail the day she passed away. My older sister is working on finishing her version. I chose to make mine on a smaller scale.

I got my sign pre-made from Target, it measures roughly 6 inches high by 18 inches long. The miniature primitive rusted stars I got on Amazon. I painted the sign gray, and the very lightly brushed the white over the gray to attempt at giving the wood an aged look. I free handed the “Chase after your dreams.”

I think it turned out pretty well. I plan on hanging it near my bed.
